James Avison : Managing Director
James started his career working in the NHS before switching to a life in medical device sales and marketing over the last 25 years. Working for big and small companies lead him to form Minim Healthcare in 2013 to bring together the best aspects of all he had experienced.
Every time someone mis-hears the company name and calls it ‘Minimal Healthcare’ or ‘Mini Healthcare’, James winces a bit and regrets not thinking about the name for a little bit longer. He lives in Newbury, is married with two grown children and a dog and in his spare time plays jazz music and rides old bicycles.

Emma Kinghorn : Head of Finance and Operations
With a background in business and systems consulting, working with charities, churches, jewellers and healthcare companies, we are very lucky to have Emma with us. Looking after the pennies and pounds of course but also overseeing proper resourcing of the company, planning and good business practice. Emma knows her Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from her Hawke’s Bay Viognier and loves technology and has become paperless in most, but not all rooms of the house.

Ausman Akhtar : Northern Territory Manager
Aus came to us from a dental and ENT background and he impressed us from the off with his warm personality and easy charm.
That helped when he was an hour late for his first interview, not that we talk about it much. With a keen enquiring mind, a great sense of humour and always eager to do the utmost for people, Aus is a great asset to the company. He supports Liverpool FC which increasingly seems like a smart idea but he adds chilli sauce to everything which rarely seems appropriate.

Claire Ingram : Business Services Manager
Claire has experience in banking, clothing and leisure and healthcare, so she’s a boon on a desert island, if there are banks, shops and hospitals. Responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day, ask Claire about ISO 9001 or the finer points of international shipping and she’ll give you chapter and verse. In her spare time, Claire likes a spot of speedway, baking, cocktail making and cats. In that order.

Corina’s career has seen her work in road building, lighting, gambling and medical devices so she is handy on a quiz team. Running Minim’s customer service department, Corina enjoys stretching deadlines to help people and she works tirelessly to get our customersboth the right information and the right products at super-fast speed!
Corina is keen on running, reading and is an expert on all things Coldplay.
